Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Dogtooth Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Rusty Jobfish, Rainbow Runner, Sailfish, Bigeye Trevally, Bluefin Trevally, Yellowfin Tuna, Golden Trevally, Bonito, Bohar Snapper, and whatever else takes the bait. On the day of your trip you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Ahmed also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.
If you’re traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
Capt. Ocean welcomes you aboard a 27’ custom sportfishing boat with capacity for 5 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, along with lures.
You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
You can’t go wrong when you bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is not allowed. There will be food and some light snacks available on board.
