Celtic Warrior is an Offshore 25, owned and skippered by Colin Baker. Licensed and insured for up to 7 passengers for up to 60 miles from a safe haven.
She is suited for all groups and individuals to fish for the numerous and varied species off the Dorset coast including Turbot, Brill, Plaice, Bass, Black Bream, Cod, Pollack, Ling, Conger Eel, Blonde and Undulate Rays to mention just a few or for sightseeing to view the spectacular Jurassic Coast.
Fishing off the Dorset coast from Weymouth is rich and varied. Within easy distance are the Shambles, Adamant, Kidney and Lulworth banks. Portland Race is known for its excellent Bass. Through the spring, summer, autumn and into winter large numbers of black bream can be caught. The wrecks hold numbers of Bass, Pollock and Cod along with Ling and Conger Eel. Throughout the year large Blonde and Undulate Rays are caught along with thornback and spotted rays. In the winter large Whiting and Cod can be caught caught at anchor along with Conger and Rays.
Porbeagle shark are often encountered. There are however many more species to target throughout the year and there is always something to catch. No undersize fish are allowed to be kept and I would encourage anglers to take only what they will eat. If you need to, please feel free to ask about what tackle will be suitable for the target species on the day.
The boat has rods and reels for hire. Bait and tackle are included in the half day trips but extra on full day trips.
Bringing sunglasses, bottled water, waterproofs and sunblock (non-spray) is never a bad idea. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
