One of our top picks in Sarasota . Sarasota and Bradenton hold some of Florida’s best fishing grounds, and Captain Jon has 30 years experience catching fish in the area. He welcomes you aboard his boat to explore the inshore flats or the offshore reefs and see why this is considered one of the best places in the world to take a fun, family fishing trip.
Your trip will take place aboard a sturdy 22 ft Cape Craft center console that has been recently restored in 2015 to make it one of the safest flats boats you can find in the area. With a GPS, fishfinder, and two VHF radios, it is ready and raring to take you on the trip of a lifetime. With room for up to four anglers, an ice box for your drinks and a live bait tank to give you the best chance of successful hook ups, the boat is well suited for a charter fishing trip.
Captain Jon offers a variety of trips, allowing you to take your pick depending on the style of fishing your prefer. You may choose to fish the beautiful bays and flats for Snook, Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, and Tarpon, troll near the shore for King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, and Cobia, or bottom fish over the reefs for Snappers and Groupers. Live bait is included in the price, as are artificial lures in case you want to try a variety of fishing styles.
On return to the dock Captain Jon will gladly clean and fillet your fish to take home for dinner. His strong emphasis on safety and detailed local knowledge will ensure your trip is one to remember!

Great experience. We wanted to catch enough fish for a meal and we did that and more. Only bummer was that I caught a 31 inch Cobia and the size limit was 34 inches. Lots of fun. Captain John found 2 great sites and let my son and I go at it. We had a blast.

Our fishing trip with Captain Jon was a great start to my husband Rick's birthday. We caught 15-20 fish, 4 different varieties. He was very busy keeping our hooks baited, and teaching us a bit about fishing as neither of us had done any fishing since chilWent fishing on February 25, 2017

It was an excellent trip. With 3 generations on the boat, the captan made sure everyone was safe and comfortable. Fishing conditions were difficult because of weather issues. However we caught enough fish to be very happy, keepers to provide dinner and a great time with grandpa, son and grandson enoying the time together and on the water.

Took the Danowski family out fishing today. Great day on the water. Fish for everyone. Then we came across a school of barracuda. Broke out the cuda tubes and fish on. Hooked up three of them. The last one… Read Full Report →
