Sarasota and Bradenton hold some of Florida’s best fishing grounds, and Captain Jon has 30 years experience catching fish in the area. He welcomes you aboard his boat to explore the inshore flats or the offshore reefs and see why this is considered one of the best places in the world to take a fun, family fishing trip.
Your trip will take place aboard a sturdy 23’ Sea Craft center console that has been recently restored in 2015 to make it one of the safest flats boats you can find in the area. With a GPS, fishfinder, and two VHF radios, it is ready and raring to take you on the trip of a lifetime. With room for up to four anglers, an ice box for your drinks and a live bait tank to give you the best chance of successful hook ups, the boat is well suited for a charter fishing trip.
Captain Jon offers a variety of trips, allowing you to take your pick depending on the style of fishing your prefer. You may choose to fish the beautiful bays and flats for Snook, Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, and Tarpon, troll near the shore for King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, and Cobia, or bottom fish over the reefs for Snappers and Groupers. Live bait is included in the price, as are artificial lures in case you want to try a variety of fishing styles.
On return to the dock Captain Jon will gladly clean and fillet your fish to take home for dinner. His strong emphasis on safety and detailed local knowledge will ensure your trip is one to remember!
