Excited to go fishing in Savannah? Hook and Leader Fishing is your ticket! With Captain Christopher at the helm, you’ll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
These waters are known for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Blacktip Shark, and more – with any luck, you’ll hook into a few! During the trip you might be light tackle fishing, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. You’re welcome to bring snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 19’ Sea Pro bay boat that can carry up to 3 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
A few items to bring include bottled water, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Red Fish Extravaganza

One of the most professional and polite southern gentlemen you’ll ever meet! I would suggest calling Captain Chris right now If you want the inshore experience and pull in more local treasure fish than your arms can handle. Captain Chris whisked us to the Red Fish Promised Land and WE reached the limit within 30 minutes!!!!! We probably caught 10-15 more which were released before moving on to his TROUT HOLE where I caught the biggest one of my life, almost TOO big, at 21 1/2 inches! It was a great local, personal, hands-on experience without having to spend half the day riding off-shore. Thanks again Cap!! Hope to see you again soon 🎣

Half-day charter with Capt Chris Fennel

Hands down one of the best fishing days of my life. Whether you are from out of town or a Savannah local who loves to fish, Capt Chris Fennell with Hook and Leader Charters will create one of your best experiences on the water.
He put us on top of fish within the first 15 min of being on the boat. Trouts and red galore!! Aside from reeling in fish after fish, Capt Fennell went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time: always ready with fresh bait, scooping fish from the water, and experienced enough to know when we needed to head to another spot.
He’s familiar with the area, handles his boat well, and possesses all the genuine qualities you would expect out of a charter boat captain. I can’t recommend him enough and would do this charter time and time again.

4hr Shark Extravaganza with Capt Chris

10/10 recommend. Capt Chris knows his stuff! Put my wife and I on the fish. He kept us catching. Very professional and kind. Will for sure return to his charter. Great for a guys day or family trip. Unfortunately my wife did smoke me! 17 Shark and 9 Whiting! If you’re trying to decide which charter is for you. Look no further. Young man worked very hard to keep us on them and actively fishing.

What a great guy! Amazing time shark fishing with him. Well prepared and super kid friendly! I don’t remember names often but Chris isn’t one I will forget when I’m in Georgia. We caught lots of shark and actually enjoyed ourselves doing it. My daughter tells everyone we see about this trip. Thank you again Chris

Big RedFish

Chris took us to some awesome spots where
my Daughter and I caught some Big Redfish plus Drum and Flounder. Captain Chris knows the Savanah water and will put you on the fish. We caught RedFish from 25 inches plus and my Daughter caught a Bull RedFish over 32 inches. We put back more big fish to grow bigger than the nice eating size we took home. You will not be disappointed if Captain Chis takes you out fishing. Thanks Chris for a trip of a live time....
