These waters are known for Pacific Barracuda, Giant Trevally, and further out blue –Sailfish, Striped Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Dogtooth, Yellowfin and Skipjack Tuna, it won't take long to hook into some. For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light tackle.
Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks – lucky for you, there will already be some on board!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 30' Bluewater Craft aluminum fishing boat, Maxine, that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has outriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Ben has rods and reels for you, as well as lures, etc in his trusted tackle box. Trips are run with the help of a First Mate.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Some essentials to bring are reef safe sunblock (non-spray) a spray jacket, sun protection and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks, bottled water and soft drinks provided on board. Our 8-hour fishing trip includes a light lunch.
