Trip Summary

Yesterday's offshore trip got off to an exciting start when we got smashed by 4 Wahoo within the first hour, with some aerial displays as they came out of the water like missiles as they hit our baits! Several boats around us experienced the same and there were a lot of cut baits & leaders but nice to see a solid 35lb Wahoo being caught on the boat next to us. We then headed 30-35 miles offshore out into the really deep stuff & towed some SERIOUS Marlin lures around to see if we could raise a fish. We missed a small Mahi & then 2 Sailfish right at the end of the day. We had some great Bonito live baits ready for action in the Tuna tubes but despite our searching we could not find the Yellow Fin Tuna today. We were treated to sights of several Manta Rays & more Turtles than we have ever seen, they were literally everywhere which is great to see. One of the other boats out there Makaira raised 2 Marlin yesterday but couldn't get them to stick unfortunately. We will be back out again in a couple of days!!
