If you're ready to start fishing in Tamarindo, look no further than CR Fishing Charters. Your guide for the day is Captain Jonathan, giving you access to years of knowledge and experience.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Sailfish, Blue Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Cubera Snapper, Wahoo, Roosterfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Bonito, Jack Crevalle, and who knows what else! On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light tackle.
Children are welcome, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Capt. Jonathan operates a 34' Center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, all the essentials. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't leave home without sunblock (non-spray), a hat, and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks included on board.
Now, come aboard with CR Fishing Charters and get hooked!
