Spend the day with The Third Fisherman and find out what the fishing in Puerto Real is all about! Having logged many hours on these tides, your Captain can tell you all about the local fishery.
These waters are known for Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Caribbean Queen Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, and more – with any luck, you'll have tight lines in no time. During the trip you might be spinning, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
You'll be casting lines from a 60' Bertram 60 sportfishing vessel with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's always wise to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks available on board.
Now, time to hit the water with The Third Fisherman!
