Outrageous Fishing – El Hombre 

If you're ready to get hooked on fishing in Cape Town, look no further than Outrageous Fishing.

Bonito, Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Snoek, Bigeye Tuna, Albacore Tuna, Swordfish, Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, and more could be biting, depending on the time of year. For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

Families making of a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Don't forget to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!

Capt. Byron welcomes you aboard El Hombre, a 32' Two Oceans catamaran that holds up to 8 passengers. It has outriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.

You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.

You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

Don't leave home without a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
