If you’re looking to spend a productive day fishing the incredible Mauritius waters, Royal Big Game Fishing should be on top of your list. Royal Big Game Fishing is the champion of the 2014 South Indian Ocean Bill Fish Competition, a qualifying event for the IGFA Offshore World Championship, but they are so much more than that.
They have over 24 years of experience and their crew is professional, well-respected, and customer-centric. Operating out of Trou D’Eau Douce, they will do everything to show you what the East Coast of Mauritius is all about.
Step aboard the “Royal II,” a luxurious offshore sportfishing boat, fully equipped with high-quality gear, twin 210 HP Caterpillar engines, a restroom, fighting chair, air-conditioning, and even a multimedia system. This 42’ beauty is spacious enough to take up to 10 anglers fishing in full comfort.
The seasoned crew of Royal Big Game Fishing will take you to the most productive Mauritian offshore grounds abundant with migratory pelagics. Some of the species commonly targeted in these waters include highly sought-after game fish such as Blue and Black Marlin, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, and others.
It will take you only 5 minutes to get to the coral reefs, 10 minutes to pass through, and then 30 minutes to get to the best offshore fisheries. Your weapon of choice will be top Penn International tackle, paired with quality lures and live bait. Snorkeling and fly fishing equipment could also be available, just let the captain know in advance.
All you have to do is bring your personal belongings and lunch – if you want to have BBQ, the captain could arrange it upon request. Kids ages three and older are more than welcome to join in the fun and Royal Big Game Fishing will make sure they learn a lot about angling.
Their motto is “Always Move Forward, Always Strive For Perfection,” so book a trip with them and become a better angler after the adventure.
