Servicing a variety of spots around the Melbourne area, Central Florida Sport Fishing offer a wide range of fishing charters to suit every taste and budget. Owned and operated by U.S.C.G. 100 Ton Master Captain Christopher Beckett, these charters offer customers a rewarding and memorable day out on the water.
You will be fishing aboard a recently restored and meticulously maintained Mako center console that is equally capable of fishing the backwaters for Tarpon as it is of going up to 30 miles offshore in search of Mahi Mahi, Groupers, and Wahoo. It features a completely foam-filled hull for safety and has an extremely large fishing area that can rival boats much larger than its 26 ft. There is also plenty of cooler space on board for your drinks and snacks, as well as storage space for your personal items.
During your trip, you will be fishing with live bait (included in the price) as well as a large variety of artificial lures to suit every occasion, and you will be using well-maintained, good quality spin and conventional light tackle. Trips range from four-hour inshore trips for Redfish, Sheepshead, and Mangrove Snapper, to nearshore trips for King Mackerel, Cobia, and Redfish within 8 miles of the coast, to full day 10-12 hour trips where you could fish up to 35 miles offshore for Grouper and Amberjack, among others. Inshore fishing is good all year round, while nearshore and offshore trips are only available in the summer.
Captain Christopher endorses the practice of catch and release, although he is happy to clean and fillet some fish for you to keep for dinner.
Make sure to arrange payment with Captain Chris the day before the trip so he can get everything ready for you to have a great day on the water.
Please get in touch directly with the Captain after confirmed booking for exact departure location. Also, including your cell phone will assure easier communication, please do not provide your home phone number.
