Get to know Bolivar Peninsula like never before when you book a trip through 3rd Coast Fishin Charters.

The stunning scenery here includes inshore and nearshore waters, including a few honeyholes that only the locals can clue you in on.

Around here it's common to go light tackle fishing, which is what you'll be doing on the day of your trip. You can also do a bit of spinning, popping, bottom fishing, and maybe more your guide wants to show you. Jeffrey will provide rods and reels, as well as lures and live bait.

There's no guarantee when you're fishing, but just some of the species you can catch around here include Blacktip Shark, Bull Shark, Hammerhead Shark, Tiger Shark, Jack Crevalle, Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Redfish, Black Drum, Flounder, Pompano, and more, depending on conditions.

You're welcome to keep any fish that meet size and bag limits. Jeffrey can also clean your catch for you so it's easy to cook. Now that's a fresh meal! As many as 4 people are welcome on these excursions. You'll make your way to the fishing grounds on foot, so dress accordingly and bring only as much as you can carry.

Expect to get in touch with Jeffrey before the trip so you know where to meet and how to get there.

Your fishing license for the day is not included, so members of your group may need to buy one. You can find out more online, including exceptions that may apply. Layered clothing and appropriate footwear are always encouraged (if you aren't sure what that means, just ask). It's never a bad idea to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen, no matter the weather.

This is a kid-friendly experience, so feel free to bring 'em along and pack any snacks or extra clothing they need. Remember to ask if child-sized life vests are available; otherwise, you'll have to bring your own.

Guide was good but no fish
10 Hour Land Base Fishing on June 23, 20262 adults1 child

I booked this for a 12 and 14 year old that loves fishing. They fished all day but left disappointed that they weren't able to reel in anything other than a few catfish. My son did hook on to something big but it broke off/came off before they could see what it is was. Better luck next time!
