Captain Kevin Wissing owns and operates Catch On Charters, dedicated to exploring some of the finest nearshore fishing that the pristine waters of the Gulf of Mexico have to offer. Catch On Charters offers private fishing trips with the ability to customize your journey to your own preferences.
Captain Kevin, a Florida native, is a United States Coast Guard-licensed captain that enjoys sharing the knowledge he’s accumulated as a fishing guide with all his guests. Having spent over 30 years fishing these waters, Kevin specializes in various fishing techniques including trolling, light tackle, and bottom fishing, and is used to utilizing both artificial lures as well as live and dead bait, depending on what’s in season and what fish you’d like to target.
You’ll be fishing on a 23’ Sea Hunt Triton powered by a single 150 HP Yamaha engine to get you to where the action is quickly. The boat offers plenty of dry storage for you to safeguard your belongings, and features a hard t-top for those hot days when you might prefer getting out of the sun for a while. The vessel can comfortably accommodate up to 4 anglers per trip, and comes equipped with Fishfinder, GPS, and radio for navigation.
Some of the species Captain Kevin commonly targets on his trips include Tuna, Spanish Mackerel, Kingfish, Snapper, Grouper, Cobia, and many more. All fishing gear needed for tackling these and other game fish are provided by Kevin, along with live bait and lures for the trip. If you decide to keep the fish you caught, it will be cleaned and bagged after your trip by the captain at no additional charge.
