Smallmouth Bass: April – November
Small Mouth Bass are pretty prominent through out the open water fishing season. Typically in April/May during their beginning of spawn is a great time to target trophy Bass. This is from the middle of April until Mid June. We fish the shallow water around the shoreline and islands to target the Smallmouth Bass. From mid June through August provides world class Bass fishing as we track them in their summer patterns on the ledges and reefs where they are feeding. Once September hits the Smallmouth Bass start to head towards their deep water. We typically follow them North of Sister Bay up to Washington Island fishing the deep water with soft baits and sucker minnows. Typically our Bass fishing is done in Sister Bay, Ephraim, Ellison Bay, Gills Rock, Washington Island and Rowleys Bay. We run the guided fishing trips based on where the best fishing has been! We will accommodate you in any way possible as well!
Walleye: End of March - April
For Trophy Walleye the best fishing is the first couple months after the ice melts, March-beginning of May. Typically, we fish in the Fox River, Peshtigo, Oconto and sturgeon bsy areas first right after ice out. Our guides follow the first Walleye run in these areas. This is peak time of year to target Walleye!
Silver Strike fishing Guides do prefer to rip jig and use soft baits in the spring but do offer both trolling and jigging trips. We can tailor to your wants and needs but we will let you know which one will be more productive.
