If you're ready to start fishing in Chokoloskee, look no further than Captain Kent Daniels. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Kent knows them forwards and back.

Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Black Drum, Black Grouper, Gag Grouper, Goliath Grouper, Pompano, Redfish, Sheepshead, Mangrove Snapper, Snook, Tarpon, Whiting, Speckled Trout, and whatever else is biting. You'll target your catch by light tackle fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Kent also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.

Captain Kent Daniels is a kid-friendly charter service, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!

Capt. Kent will bring you aboard a 18' Bobby Jones Cottonmouth center console that holds up to 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on some of the local beaches for your convenience. Capt. Kent will provide rods and reels for you.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

A few items to bring include sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
