Welcome aboard! My name is Captain Maxwell Schweikert, I am a passionate topwater fisherman and nature enthusiast. I graduated from Grand Valley State University with degree in geography and sustainable planning. Growing up in Michigan, I developed a profound love for the outdoors, which led me to pursue a career that combines my two greatest passions: fishing and wildlife photography.
I learned the fishing trade from my grandfather when I was barely old enough to hold a pole, and fished my whole life. Life changed for me when I became obsessed about 15 years ago after I found out bass will jump out of the water to eat something moving on the surface. I now travel around the country in my RV staying at the best lakes for a month or two at a time. When I am not out fishing or hunting birds with my Sony A-7IV telescope camera, I spend my time playing guitar, pickle ball, walking, reading, doing yoga, working out, editing photos and videos, and cooking.
As your fishing or nature guide, my goal is to provide you with an unforgettable adventure, whether you’re casting a line for the first time, exploring nature, or capturing stunning wildlife photographs. I want every trip to be enjoyable, educational, and filled with lots of smiles and laughs. I strive to create an atmosphere where you can find a deep sense of peace, and leave the boat feeling better and more connected to Mother Nature.
Step aboard a **hidden content** foot Bass Tracker, equipped with Garmin livescope allowing us to see fish react to our lure in live time!
There are many different styles of fishing we can do during the trip. I consider myself a topwater expert, specifically using a frog. So we could use topwater all day. We could also hone in on flipping a creature bait or a plastic worm around grass. We could go away from the shallows and use livescope to catch deeper fish. Or we could use live bait! I want this trip tailored to you so you get the most out of it! Message me for more info!
