Knot Reel Salty Charters

Port Canaveral
Port Canaveral FL, United States

Knot Reel Salty Charters offer inshore and nearshore fishing charters out of Port Canaveral, Florida. Fishing Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach, the Indian River, Banana River, and the Mosquito Lagoon, they target a wide variety of species all year round.

Headed by Captain Keith Bono, Knot Reel Salty Charters use an 18 ft Hewes Redfisher boat that offers a safe and comfortable ride for up to two anglers. Powered by a 115 HP Yamaha engine, the boat can cover large areas of water with ease, and its wide bow area allows plenty of room for perfecting your cast or battling a Tarpon. The boat features a poling platform to allow you captain to take you silently through the flats, and it is fitted with all the necessary gear you will need to catch fish, including a GPS, fishfinder, and trolling motor.

The species you will target on your trip depend on the time of year and conditions on the day of your trip. Species such as Redfish, Trout, and Triple Tail can be targeted almost all year round, while Cobia and Snook are best in the Spring, and if you want to hook a Tarpon then Summer is the best option. On trips with Knot Reel Salty Charters, you can choose to fish inshore, sight casting with lures for Trout, Redfish, Snook, and Tarpon, or to fish nearshore for Mackerel, Grouper, and Cobia with live bait and jigs. No treble hooks are used with Knot Reel Salty Charters.

All the gear, tackle, bait and licensing you will need is included in the price, as is the chance of catching big fish!

Please note that while fly fishermen are welcome, there is a maximum of one angler for fly fishing charters.

I grew up around Bear Lake in Forest city, FL. Fishing has always been a part of my life. Ever since I was old enough to hold a rod & reel. When I was 18, I caught a 100+ lb Tarpon on the jetties at New Smyrna beach and I have been saltwater fishing ever since.
