Boca On The Fly are based out of Grove City, Florida and offer charters in and around Boca Grande, The Beaches, Charlotte Harbor, Gasparilla Sound, Pine Island, Cayo Costa, and Lemon Bay. They specialize in fly fishing, and also spin fish with light tackle.

Fishing charters are aboard a 17’ Action Craft flats boat that is powered by a 90HP Honda outboard motor, and is equipped with GPS and fishfinder. It can accommodate up to two anglers, and trips include the use of all fishing gear, including fly fishing equipment, lures, and fishing licenses.

You will pole the flats in search of Trout, Snook, Redfish, Tarpon, Cobia, Tripletail, Spanish Mackerel, False Albacore, Kingfish and many others. The backcountry is plush with mangrove islands, grass and sand flats which all hold the targeted species. It is totally unlittered with no houses, roads or other structures - just nature in its most natural form.

Capt Al has been successfully guiding in this area for over 13 years, and still enjoys each and every trip. His trips are fun and informative, and he will teach you the best techniques to catch these different species, and all in a fun and simple presentation.

I started fly fishing in the 60's off the coast of California, fishing for Tuna, Bonita, Halibut and Sharks. I have fly fished in Alaska for Silvers, Trout, Dolly Varden and Sockeye. I fly fish Baja for Roosterfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Dorado and all other species. I have fly fished the Keys for over 20 years, and have guided here in Southwest Florida for over 13 years. I have caught two Marlin and 22 Sailfish on fly. I fish the Yucatan Peninsula out of Paamul, Mexico. I have bonefished on almost every island in the Bahamas. I am an ardent fly tier and have been since 1959, when I was taught at the Long Beach casting club in Long Beach California.
