Booked a 12 hour day with captain Jon and mate Diego.  Started at 6:30 am sharp, our agreed upon time.  My heart was set on fishing billfish.  Boat was in fine shape, we pulled up for ice then met the bait guy, and we were off.  It’s a long run out for billfish,  so be prepared for it,  going in.  About an hour into actual fishing time, we had THREE simultaneous strikes, out of eight rods…. to say it got chaotic would be an understatement.  We boated 2 of the 3 Dorado and had the leader of the other, so, caught fish in my estimation.  One was a beautiful 48” Bull Dorado.  The billfish did not cooperate on this day, but, captain Jon, who is a true conservationist did don snorkeling gear TWICE,  and rescue sea turtles in distress.  One caught up in a huge piece of sea trash, the other, hooked on an illegal long line.  We did catch anther 45” bull Dorado on the day.  Bill fishing is more hunting than fishing, and some days you just come up empty handed.  These guys will work their asses of for you.  Do not hesitate to book with Hooked PV. 
Jon also provides a delicious lunch,  for a small extra fee, but it’s worth it.  He’s easy to get along with.  I would go fishing with Jon any damn day of the week, and twice on Sunday.

Jon and Cruz provided an excellent experience with outstanding customer service for us! They both were very professional and great company. We did a 6 hour trip and caught about 6-7 fish, saw adult and baby whales breaching, turtles and porpoises. They cleaned up the fish for us so we could bring it back to our condo and cook it up for dinner. We will definitely be coming back to do a full day trip with the family. Got hooked on fishing and want to catch even bigger fish next time!! Thanks again Jon and Cruz!!!

Brought in 4 El Toro between my son and I. These guys know what they are doing . Those fish are real fighters and take a while to get to the boat.

Wow, My wife and I had a great day with Jon and his crew.  It was our first experience bill fishing and within a short period of time arriving at the spot to start fishing we spotted our first marlin.  We saw 6 marlin and saw a couple of them jumping. It was amazing site to see.  We had a couple of follows and almost had one in the boat until he flipped his head and spit the hook after fighting him for 40 min. Reminds me of musky fishing in MN. Jon and his crew provided a great experience and were very concerned about our comfort and safety. Great guacamole and food on board. Jon runs an honest operation. It was a nice step up from the Panga boats on our two other bay fishing experiences without a large step up in price.  We would definitely book with Hooked Sport Fishing NV again.

On Monday 1/22/18, myself, age 75, son-in-law-47, grand-daughter-16, grandson-12, went on a fishing charter on Hooked.  The first thing to mention, as a US citizen who does not speak Spanish is that John, the owner, Ivan, the Captain and Pepe, the first mate, all spoke English.  We all know that on a charter you aren’t always just catching fish.  Each of us spent time talking with John, who is especially great with kids.  The weather wasn’t the greatest on Monday and after about an hour into the charter, my grandson started feeling a little squeamish and John quickly provided anti-nausea medicine that got him feeling better in a half hour.  That saved our trip.  Ivan put us on fish and each us caught fish.  The trip ended in a flurry of action and actually had a triple of Jack Crevalle.  It really great to be given directions in English, as Pepe landed all 3 of those Jacks.  Our day ended with 4 Spanish Mackerel, and 6 Jack’s.  I’ve been out on over 6 charters in Mexico and this was truly the BEST One that I was on.  This was the first time I enjoyed the “Fishing Experience” and we caught fish, too.  A reasonable price, bait included, snacks and drinks during the trip and the mackerel clean, ready for the grill.  By the way, they tasted great.  We enjoyed trip with banter between the crew and ourselves.  Thank you again, John, for giving my grandchildren a memorable ocean experience.  I’m HOOKED.
