Venice Reef Charters is based in Nokomis, Florida, and it’s run by Captain Philip Bloom, who has been fishing professionally for over 25 years. Capt. Philip can take you fishing anywhere from nearshore to far offshore and services the whole area from Venice to Sarasota. Join him for an adventure in the Gulf of Mexico!
His 26’ Century Mustang center console boat is powered by twin 150 Suzuki engines. It is equipped with Garmin electronics to make your fishing as productive as possible. The boat can comfortably accommodate up to 5 anglers.
Capt. Philip will provide everything you need for your fishing adventure: all fishing gear, lures, live bait, and fishing licenses. You’ll be fishing with quality Shimano and Penn equipment.
He can take you nearshore, targeting Grouper, Snapper, and Triggerfish. You can also head offshore to explore the reefs and try out bottom fishing for big Grouper and Snapper. The captain will also make sure to clean and fillet your day’s catch if desired.
The trips are 4 to 5 hours long, so they’re great for spending some family time in nature. If you have older kids, the captain will be happy to accommodate them, and their safety is guaranteed since there are life jackets on board.
There’s cold storage on board, but feel free to bring a small cooler if you wish. Bring light snacks and drinks, some sunscreen to stay safe, and you’re all set!
