Keyolhu Sportfisher - 30 ft
Keyolhu Sportfisher takes you fishing around the island of Dharavandhoo. Maldives fisheries are exceptional and you can get really impressive fish. Giant Trevally are real giants here, as are numerous Wahoo, Barracuda, Red and Giant Groupers, and Tunas. You will also have a good chance to try and land some of the Billfish family.
The crew consists of local fishermen who have fished here for years. They know the good spots and will take you around inner and outer reefs of the island to search for a worthy catch.
Your vessel for the day is a 30’ custom-built center console, powered by two 150 HP Yamaha engines. She comes equipped with GPS, a fishfinder, a toilet, and an icebox, and safety gear. The boat can take up to six people. And if you’re bringing kids, the crew will provide life vests for them.
If you want to land an aggressive predator like GT, you can go on a popping and jigging trip. It’s fast-paced and suitable for more experienced anglers, and well worth the trip. The captain will select good spots for popping, while the waters between nearby atolls and reefs are great for jigging. Bottom fishing is another option and can yield some incredible Grouper.
Customers can keep the catch, but please consult with the crew which species are ok to take home. They will clean the catch for you, but note that most fishing is catch and release.
When you’re preparing for the trip, please bear in mind that you must bring your own rods and reels. Live bait and lures can be provided at an additional charge. It’s $100 for a half day trip, $200 for a full day trip. You should also bring food, sunscreen, a cap, sunglasses, and a camera, as well as adequate clothes. There will be water and soft drinks available onboard. Pickup may be arranged for an additional fee, depending on where you’re staying.
Book a spot and get your friends. Come explore the rich fisheries of the Baa Atoll!
