Saltwater Sport Texas

Cove Harbor North
Rockport TX, United States

Saltwater Sport Texas offers bay fishing trips for a variety of inshore saltwater species. Tailoring each and every trip to the client’s experience and comfort level, Captain Cody dedicates time and thought to make sure that every charter he offers is a blast, with safety of all on board remaining the top priority.

Your vessel will be a 21 ft Dargel boat that is powered by a 140 HP Suzuki engine. Traveling up to 40 knots, this boat will make sure you get to your desired location fast, and its marine electronics will allow the captain to find the best places to catch fish. Featuring an anchoring system and an ice box, the boat also has a wide casting area at the front, with space for up to four anglers to fish. Wide and stable, this boat is great for accessing shallow water.

During the trip you will be fishing for Speckled Trout, Redfish, Flounder, Black Drum and more either from the boat or wading, depending on your preferences. Captain Cody will be with you every step of the way, explaining the game plan and the approach for the trip, and how the weather, tidal movement, and moon phases affect the fishing tactics.

In Captain Cody’s words: “Fun, Sun, and Fish is what it’s all about. Kids are welcome and Safety First… Let’s Go Fishing!”

Cody is a great Captain and he made us feel very welcome on the boat. He is very knowledgeable about where the fish are. We had a great day fishing (Reds, Black Drum, Trouts and flounder) and had a great time.
I highly recommend Cody.
Great trip!

My Fishermen are Amazing!
Left dock before sunrise and we were quickly met with fog and still water. Live mud minnows and shrimp brought speckled trout to 18” in 2 ft of water.  After taking a break to allow rain to pass hit water again in dropping temperatures and 20+ knot wind. Live bait produced reds, drum, flounder and more. You name it they caught it. The Mellon boys were on their game not losing 1 fish the entire day!  Booking for 2017 now…. Morning weather was rainy and gloomy but Captain Cody still managed to put us on the ducks! After the morning blast, it didn’t take long to grab a quick limit on some fat reds finishing off the day early with a full cooler. Captain Cody is an Awesome man, was very helpful and gave tons of tips and tricks to improve my overall game. For my first time guided service, I couldn’t be more pleased and would recommend Captain Cody to anyone interested in pulling in limmits.

Captain Mike made the very best of a difficult day with a northern front that had just passed. Hooked a 27” redfish plus 2 more redfish and 2 other fish along with 4 others we failed to get in the boat. Will definitely fish with him again next May.
