With Bayou Country Charters, the beautiful waters of Louisiana are yours for the taking. A day out with Captain Joel Barras will have you fishing the marshes, bays, lakes, and bayous of Lafitte the way it’s meant to be done.

Lafitte is located just a short drive south of New Orleans, and is home to some of the finest fishing in the area. Whether it’s Redfish, Black Drum, Flounder, or Speckled Trout, you’ll definitely have your hands full.

Capt. Joel aims to run trips that are fun for anglers of all skill levels. You can count on him to put his talent to work and get you on a top-notch bite in no time.

Before you’re able to start reeling in the catch, you’ll need to buy a $10 Louisiana fishing license for anyone in your group who’s 16 or older. This can be done in advance by phone or online. All the necessary fishing gear, tackle, lures, as well as bottled water and complimentary fish cleaning services will be provided for your convenience.
