Around The Bend Fishing – Kenai, AK
Looking to fish in Kenai or Soldotna? Around The Bend Fishing is your ticket! This father-son team will provide lots of fish and lots of fun.
We operate on both the Kenai and the Kasilof Rivers. Clients on the Kenai will ride in a 20-foot Willie Predator powerboat and those on the Kasilof will enjoy a 20-foot Willie driftboat.
Salmon species include Sockeye, Coho, Chinook, and more. Your captain will provide rods, reels, and hip boots.
Families and kids are welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board.
Before fishing, you’ll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is available online or you can ask your captain.
Don't forget to bring bottled water, sunblock, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation.

BEYOND EXCELLENT!
Great trip! Limits. What a great guy Captain Sim is! He asked my son and I if it was ok to take his son, and we said yes. What an amazing treat to have this young man along with us. Very rare to encounter an 11 year old with the knowledge, the skills, and the communication of this young man. The entire experience was fantastic. Sim always communicated and was open to what we wanted to try for tactics and spots. He was a wealth of knowledge as was his son. He went above and beyond for us, and it was obvious that this was not just a job, but a personal experience for him that he enjoyed. I will absolutely fish with Sim and Around the Bend again! Highly recommend!

Big Sim and Simmi are the best! I had the best time with these two father and son duo. Will definitely be looking for then when I return.
