Melbourne Fishing Charters run exciting fishing trips departing from the city’s famous and historic St Kilda Pier, conveniently located only a short drive from Melbourne’s CBD. The friendly crew are highly experienced and knowledgeable, with a great passion for fishing, the sea, and the environment. You will be in great hands when you join them on one of their half day trips on Port Phillip Bay.

Charters are aboard the stable and clean ‘Bellsandro’, a 44’ Steber that is powered by twin 375HP Volvo engines, and equipped with GPS, fishfinder and radar to navigate you to the action on this sizeable bay. The vessel has a large deck with plenty of space and outdoor seating, as well as cover from the elements, and is comfortably fits up to 20 guests. On board you will find a BBQ, marine toilet, large customer icebox, and a sound system to provide entertainment throughout the day.

Melbourne Fishing Charters offer shared half day charters from September to June. They specialise in various fishing techniques, such as light tackle, bottom fishing, trolling and drift fishing, and the crew will be on hand to show you the best methods for targeting Snapper during Spring, or Pinkies, Flathead, Whiting and many others during Summer and Autumn. Trips include the use of quality Penn Spinfisher Rods and Reels, as well as tackle and lures. You will be supplied with water, coffee, tea and soft drinks, as well as a sausage sizzle lunch. Your catch can be cleaned and bagged for you at the end of the trip, or if you prefer, you can have it cooked on board ready to take home. Fishing licenses must be organised prior to your trip, which are valid for 48 hours and are available for purchase online.

Hi I'm Capt Andre I have been operating my fishing charters from ST Kilda Pier for 11 years and chartering for a total of 16 years. I want to share with my guests an awesome fishing experience and share my stories from a life time at sea. As a kid I spent all my time fishing with dad at sea in Western Port Bay and along the coast of Victoria. As a young man I went to sea working on off shore trawlers around Australia. I love talking about my life time of fishing experiences and my greatest passion is watching my customer catch fish. I do whatever it takes to get you a fish to take home. I promise to look after you board, I'll cook your catch or clean it up for you to take home and cook you up some lunch.

Great day out, fishing poor. Equipment should have had left hand wind on reels. Otherwise friendly crew and good boat.
