During the trip, you might be spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Davey also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.

Children are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available. Otherwise, you should bring your own. And, you can't go wrong with snacks!

You'll be dropping lines from a 33' Bertram sportfishing vessel with space for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.

You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

Don't leave home without sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation. Just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
