Sure Shot Fishing Charters invites you and your family to spend an exciting fishing day on the waters of Pensacola, Florida with them. They are located across the street from the world-famous Flora-Bama waterfront bar at the state line of Alabama and Florida. This area is famous for the many types of fish that roam its waters, and which you’ll get a chance to target!
Captain Mike Salley is the owner and operator of Sure Shot Fishing Charters which he started over 20 years ago. He and his dad custom built the boat Sure Shot with boat makers Michael Fitz into a beautiful and powerful, but above all reliable vessel. Sure Shot has since been fully restored and not features three 420 HP Cummins 5.9x2 engines, with a maximum cruising speed of 20 knots.
The vessel can carry up to six guests and their pets as Captain Mike wants everyone to have enough elbow room and comfort on this 42’ beauty. There is a full-size bathroom on the boat, a bedroom, a kitchen, a flybridge, and a TV for entertainment. The onboard GPS, fishfinder, and radar will allow you to locate the best fishing grounds, and the downriggers and outriggers will work their magic in hooking tasty topwater fish.
Sure Shot Fishing Charters offers trips from three to eight hours in length which can range from trolling to bottom fishing, and even sightseeing in the afternoon. If you choose a three or four-hour trip, you will troll for King and Spanish Mackerel and Bonito, or sight fish for Cobia (in the Spring).
The longer trips that last five to eight hours are ideal for a combination of trolling and bottom fishing for Red Snapper, Grouper, Triggerfish, and Amberjack. You can also target Sailfish and Mahi Mahi on full day trips.
Sure Shot Fishing Charters make sure you have everything you need on all trips including rods, reels, tackle, bait, ice, and drinks. Captain Mike says: “ We like first timers and families. No experience is needed as we’ll have you trained up and catching fish in no time!”.
