Trip Summary
Had a nice weather day with smooth seas laying down as the day progressed. We started out chasing amberjacks. The fish were on the finicky side and were not agressively eating, but we did manage a few hook ups including landing a nice 36" fish! A few others broke off and/or bent out the hooks. We also managed a fun drag screaming barracuda on the lighter tackle. We decided to move and look for some bottom fish. We caught lots of grouper that were 18-19 inches (need to be 20 inches minimum to keep). Lots of jolthead porgies, vermilion and lane snapper joined in on the fun. A keeper grouper was added to the box. We finally called it a day and made the long trek back in to clean the fish. Lots of fillets for these guys!
