Providing memorable fishing experiences since 1986, Rip Charters have over 30 years of experience helping their customers catch their fish of a lifetime in Port Phillip Bay and Bass Strait. Fishing out of both Queenscliff and Sorrento, they run their two boats in the Melbourne area all year round.

“Rip Runner” is a 36’ Steber boat that is powered by a 320 HP Caterpillar engine. The boat’s spacious deck has plenty of room for up to 16 guests, and there is ample seating available for relaxation. With high quality electronics by Raymarine on board, as well as all the necessary fishing and safety gear, the boat is perfectly fitted out for providing great days on the water.

When fishing with Rip Charters, you can choose how long you want to be on the water - they run a variety of trips at different lengths. It all depends on how much time you want to spend on the water and how big a fish you want to catch! Potential target fish include the much sought-after Snapper, as well as huge Kingfish, Sharks, and reef fish such as Flathead, Whiting, Salmon, and Squid. Any legal fish you would like to take home for dinner will be cleaned and bagged for you by the crew.

Everything you need for a fun fishing experience is on board, including rods and reels, tackle, and bait. Just make sure you are in possession of a valid Victoria fishing license before coming aboard the boat!
