Atlantic Operators

900 Yacht Road
Carolina Beach NC, United States

Atlantic Operators is a veteran owned and operated charter boat offering fishing, spearfishing and wreck diving off the North Carolina coast. They often cater to Soldiers and Marines at nearby Fort Bragg and Camp Lejuene, and they will gladly show civilians, families or small groups (up to 6) an amazing full-day of fishing and/or spearfishing and/or wreck diving!

Captains John Fisher and “Stan” Cook fish aboard a 33 ft boat custom built by Palmeto. Powered by twin 300 HP Yamaha engines, the boat gives a fast and safe ride to the fishing grounds. It is fully rigged for sportfishing, with outriggers, downriggers, and a live bait tank, and also has everything you need for spearfishing stowed on board.

Atlantic Operators give you the opportunity to customize your charter based on how you want to spend the day, so you are welcome to spend half a day reeling in Wahoo, Mackerel or Mahi, and then spend the rest of the day diving one of North Carolina’s many shipwrecks. Maybe you’d rather search a ledge for ancient Megalodon shark teeth, or maybe you just want to fish!  It’s up to you. Captain John Fisher (NAUI Divemaster) and Captain “Stan” Cook of Atlantic Operators will make it happen.

About the Captain

John Fisher
Carolina Beach, North Carolina, United States
Member since June 2016
Captain John Fisher is a NAUI Divemaster who works together with Captain “Stan” Cook to provide inclusive fishing and scuba diving packages with Atlantic Operations. The idea for the enterprise was born when the two captains were serving in the U.S. Army Special Forces as “Green Beret” soldiers. Combined, the pair have served in the Special Forces for over 25 years, and they both have a special affinity for the ocean. It came naturally for them to turn their hobby (which borders on an obsession) into a business venture that allows them to share their love of fishing and diving with those around them.

We have actually booked the Atlantic Operators twice for fishing.  The first time we only went out about 15 miles offshore because the seas were a little rough.  And it actually turned out to be a great trip because we caught our limit of Black Bass and Mahi.  I had never eaten fresh Black Bass, amazing.  The second time we booked them, we went out to the stream and ended up catching a 38lb Wahoo, which is now my favorite fish to eat.  We are planning on booking again this year.
