Blue Chaser invites you to experience the stunning waters of Quepos. With Captain Tania at the helm, you'll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.
Top targets include Sailfish, Roosterfish, Wahoo, Spanish Mackerel, Blue Marlin, Tripletail, Mahi Mahi, Snook, Yellowfin Tuna, and more. During the trip you might be spinning, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks to keep their stamina going!
Your boat for the day is a 24' Dusky bay boat with capacity for 5 passengers. It comes with outriggers, and all the essentials. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's always wise to bring sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks included on board.
