Fishing in the Gulf of Papagayo, Costa Rica

Located in the beautiful Gulf of Papagayo, our fishing grounds average around 100 feet in depth, offering excellent conditions for a diverse and action-packed experience.
Anglers can target a wide range of species, including Roosterfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjack, Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Jack Crevalle, as well as Snapper and Grouper through bottom fishing with rod or hand line.

Fishing success depends on water temperature, currents, and wind. In the right conditions, multiple species may feed at once—creating exciting opportunities throughout the trip.

We are committed to delivering a high-quality experience. After your catch, we clean, fillet, and package your fish for you to enjoy later. If you’re interested in having your catch mounted as a trophy, we can provide the proper documentation certifying its size and weight, so it can be professionally prepared and shipped to your home.
Join us and make your dream fishing adventure a reality in the Gulf of Papagayo, Costa Rica.      NOTA: For the final payment of the tour, if you would like to pay in cash, it would be much better for the captain. However, if you prefer a more convenient option, you can also pay by card; please note that a 13% fee will be added to cover bank charges and government taxes.
