Charleston Gigging

Shrimp Boat Lane
Mount Pleasant SC, United States

Charleston Gigging offers the best way to experience an old Lowcountry tradition in the beautiful historic Charleston. Flounder gigging has been around in this community for generations and is known to be one of the most fun and serene ways to experience these waters. This company prides itself on having the absolute pinnacle of technology on board to produce fish consistently and provide each customer with a safe trip and memories that last a lifetime!

Their 2015 22’ custom built boat is powered by a 150 HP Evinrude outboard motor, which with speeds of up to 35 knots can get you to the action in no time. Its LED lights are in the water rather than above, and are therefore much better at illuminating the bottom to spot unsuspecting fish. The vessel is wide with plenty of space to accommodate four anglers, and comes equipped with GPS, fishfinder, and icebox to keep your catch fresh and your refreshments cool.

Charleston Gigging mostly use gigging, handline, and light tackle fishing techniques. They offer specialized trips for targeting Catfish, Flounder, and Striped Bass, while other species you may encounter include Redfish, Sheepshead, Tripletail, Black Drum, and more. You will be provided with all necessary fishing gear, while fishing licenses are also included.

Growing up in Charleston we have year round fishing for innumerable highly sought after species in salt and fresh water. You can't grow up here and not fish. I legitimately don't remember learning to fish or my first fishing experiences. They were that early in life!
