A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 20% or more to show your appreciation.
17 and over MUST get a fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include sunscreen (non-spray), drinks/snacks, and sunglasses. Water will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Great captain that is honest. We booked this trip for my sons and they wanted to chase reds and other game fish to eat. Getting on the boat Bubba was very honest and said the fishing was tough due to weather. While we may not have got what we went after he put my kids on sharks that they could at least enjoy the fight and catching some fish when he could've easily just said sure we'll try and wasted his time and ours. So to him a huge thank you I'll take honesty and a little let down over blown smoke any day. We will be back hopefully when the bite is better.
This was our 5th family fishing trip in Galveston. This crew was by far the best we’ve had over the years. Very helpful and accommodating. We caught several Sharks. They helped with all our kids and didnt act like it was a hassle. In the past a lot of crews say kid friendly but in reality they dont want to help the kids have a grestvtime. We cant say enough good things about tge fushing and crew. We will book again in the future.
We had an incredible deep-sea fishing experience! Captain Bubba and crew mate Jenna were professional, knowledgeable, and worked hard to make sure everyone had a great time. The boat was clean, well-maintained, and fully equipped. We caught plenty of sharks and enjoyed every minute on the water. The crew was friendly, patient, and always ready to help. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced angler, this trip is a must. Highly recommend and would definitely book again! 🎣🌊🐟
We didn't catch very much we could keep but had a good time. Bubba was very helpful and honest about the fishing conditions. i really appreciated that. My kids loved the experience of pulling in a big fish, but hey didn't really like the waves. it was a great new experience for us as a family.
My wife and I had a blast fishing with Bubba and Jenna! The weather wasn’t optimal, but we hung in and ended up catching 3 spinner sharks. I highly reccomend this crew if youre looking for a fun captain whi knows his stuff!
