This customer-oriented company is dedicated to introducing guests to the area’s incredible year-round Marlin action and unbeatable bottom fishing opportunities. All this, just a 3.5 hour drive away from the port city of Guayaquil, in the province of Manabi, Ecuador.

The Marlin season in the waters around Manta is pretty consistent all year round, although June to December is the best time for an exceptionally high numbers of bites. This is one of the world’s best natural Marlin fisheries, and several raises from both Blue and Striped Marlin are daily occurrences, with Big Eye Tuna and Wahoo catches also very common. All of this can be found off the continental shelf, just 20 to 40 miles from the dock.

Ecuagrino’s charters out of Manta are headed by Captain Andres Calero, an enthusiastic and experienced angler who is known to spend more time on the water than any other captain fishing out of Manta. Fishing aboard the new 27 ft Miura, a well-equipped custom cuddy cabin, he is ready to assist you in whatever fishing technique you would like to practice, be it bait and switch, light tackle, fly fishing, or bottom fishing.

We caught no fish but the captain and crew were changing lures and doing their best to find fish
Late march is not the high season and we had a great day on the water
