Description

Lostmen Expeditions offers guided sight fishing trips in and around the 10 000 Islands and the Everglades. Headed by enthusiastic guide Captain Nick Ruiz, this is your chance to lose yourself in the unforgettable flats and backcountry waters of southern Florida.

Captain Nick’s 16 ft Hell’s Bay flats boat is the perfect vessel for sightfishing in the local area. Comfortably accommodating two guests, it allows you to transverse the pristine waters in silence as the knowledgeable guide poles the boat towards your goal. There is plenty of space for two anglers to fish at a time, and the forward casting platform allows you to perfect your fishing technique. The boat is powerd by a Mercury engine and it features an ice box for your drinks and snacks throughout the day.

Your main target species on your trip will be Snook, Redfish, and Tarpon (depending on the season and conditions). Fly, spin, and livebait opportunities are available, and Captain Nick provides all the necessary equipment for anglers of all experience levels to have an enjoyable day on the water.

I was born in Scranton, PA. When I was about 10 months old my family decided Scranton was not the place for them and moved as far south as they could. Since then, late 1996, we have lived here on Marco Island, FL. I consider this as my birth place. Marco is such a beautiful area with plenty of opportunity for the fishermen. With the 10,000 islands and everglades to explore I found a love and a passion for sight-fishing. Come and book a charter and let me show you what I call home.
