Freeport has a fish with your name on it, so let Why Knot Outfiters help you catch it! Captain Robert will be your guide, so you'll benefit from their sportfishing experience.

Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Red Snapper, Amberjack, Cobia, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Warsaw Grouper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Lane Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, and plenty more.

For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Don't forget to bring snacks!

You'll be dropping lines from a 39' sportfishing boat with space for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible.

You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips, and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.

You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

If you have any questions about fishing with Why Knot Outfiters, you can send Capt. Robert a message down below.

Amazing Trip!
12 Hr – Snapper and Kingfish on July 18, 20265 adults

We had a great trip with Capt. Robert! We had 6 people in our party. I selected Robert based on the info on his page. No prior knowledge of him or previous trips. We definitely picked the right team! The boat was great. Big enough for all of us. The AC worked well and the boat was clean and comfortable. The seas were rough on our way out, but Robert had us fishing quickly, stopping first to troll for king. We didn't catch anything at the first stop so we headed further out for our Snapper. That's where the fun began. Robert and his deckhand James worked hard to get us on the fish. We were able to get our limit on Snapper and we then trolled more for King and other species. We found a spot that yielded us a boat full of dorado and a cobia! I can't say enough good things about our trip. We're already planning for next year. Everyone in our group caught fish, enjoyed the day and appreciated the excitement from Robert and James about what we were catching. Great day, great experience, great crew! Highly recommend!

Cobia
Dolphin (Mahi Mahi)
