Reel River Outfitters 

Reel River Outfitters is all about fishing the stunning waters of Muskegon and Big Manistee Rivers. Captain Don will be your guide, giving you access to their professional experience. We have 2 boats to accommodate larger parties as well.

Around here it's common to catch Coho Salmon, king salmon, Rainbow Trout, Steelhead, Brown Trout, Walleye, and more, depending on conditions. Both the Muskegon and Big Manistee rivers have all these types of species to target.

You'll target your catch by spinning, drifting, jigging, Float Bobbers, bottom bouncing, Fly rods or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Feel free to bring your own snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!

Capt. Don operates a 20' Jet boat that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.

You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is available online @ Michigan DNR website or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

It's recommended to bring bottled water, sunblock, and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, avoid glass bottles. There will be some light snacks available on board.
