Inshore Excursions offers saltwater fishing charters around some of Southwest Florida’s most prestigious waterways. If you’re hoping to spend your hours immersed in backcountry fishing, you’re at the right spot. Here, you can catch Snook, Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Tarpon, and much more.
Your guide for the day is Captain Mike Grispo. Area-native, Capt. Mike knows these waters intimately and has the skills to make your trip just great. The anglers who join him will be exploring the meandering mangrove shorelines searching for the fish that hide nearby. The action can get scorching hot in a blink of an eye, and you will need your best skills to actually get the fish.
Captain Mike can take up to two anglers. You will be fishing from a 19’ Mako flats boat, powered by a 90 HP Mercury engine. The boat is rigged with GPS, a fishfinder, features a live bait well, and a wireless trolling motor. As you go exploring the flats and shorelines, you will see how well the boat can move around the spots where a bigger boat might get stuck.
Capt Mike’s trips run year round, and the fish bite solidly most of the time. Some seasons vary and may prove more productive, but fishing will be as equally as interesting. You will be using live bait mostly, but if you like, you can toss some artificial baits as well. Fly fishermen are also welcome, just need to bring their gear. Imagine getting a Tarpon on fly — wouldn’t that be a trip to remember!
You can be a pro angler or a first time fisherman, a kid or a grown up, Capt. Mike will gladly take you on the water. He will provide the fishing gear, the fishing license, lures, and live bait. You should pack a cap, sunblock, sunglasses, comfortable clothes and footwear, make some snacks and bring refreshments, and head out. Also, bring along your camera.
