I have been fishing the beautiful waters of south florida my entire life, with thousands of unforgettable hours on the water. Over the years i have learned the south east waters like the back of my hand, from peak seasonal times to target specific fish, to migratory patterns, as well as all other variations of fishing these waters. I would love the opportunity to help anyone become a better angler, let us show you a Downright Adventure!

very inexperienced at fishing. spent the whole trip covering the same 2 or 3 mile stretch of water, BACK AND FORTH,  with no plan from the charter to do anything different. only caught a few “trash” fish, DINKS. biography attached with the charter information leads one to believe they have been running a charter service for 15 years, actuality 2 years. pictures associated with charter are all of personal trips, NONE FROM A PAYING CHARTER?????????????? and appears that they are from only 3 or 4 trips!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I SPEND 2 TO 4 WEEKS IN THE FLORIDA KEYS EVERY YEAR AND HAVE CAUGHT MORE FISH IN ONE TRIP THAN THEY HAVE total. huge dissapointment

Dear Sam,

We thank you for your booking, however, you’re assessment of the day and our charter couldn’t be more inaccurate. First off, you have clearly never fished in the pompano beach/ft lauderdale/boca area(as you stated on the charter) because we DID NOT Fish the same 2 or 3 mile stretch. We fished from Hillsboro inlet and tried to go north, however the wind was a good 15 to 20mph that day so we ended up only going a little north then letting the wind take us south to where we were right off ft lauderdale inlet. These “trash” fish you are referring to are the species that were bitting the most during our charter (kinfish, Bonita, barracuda and cero mackerel) we would have loved to go for a great pelagic species such as dolphin, tuna, or sailfish but as we both know the seas were extremely rough that day, so we changed our game plan, as good fishermen do.

As for our credentials, we in no way imply that we have been chartering for 15 years. We have been FISHING these waters for 15 years. And you’re quite right, we haven’t update our fishing booker page with all the great catches our customers have caught over the 2 and half years of chartering so thank you for reminding us.

We do not have the luxuries of being able to fish the amazing waters of the keys. Literally one of the best fishing destinations in the world. And we truly are sorry that we didn’t live up to your unrealistic expectations of what fishing is like here in pompano beach, especially on a day where it was 3-5ft seas with a north wind.

To customers who may be discouraged by this review, I implore you to read our outstanding reviews from our customers so far, and the 85% return rate from our customers says to us that we are providing customers with a great time and lots of action. If you wish to check out all of our fishing pictures from customers, I will update our photos, however in the mean time please visit our instagram page, DownRightFishing, to look at the latest catches of our great customers.
