No Bananas Boat

85500 Overseas Highway
Islamorada FL, United States

No Bananas Boat takes you fishing around the rich waters of Islamorada. Here, you can explore the backcountry and get Reds or Snook, fish for Tarpon or head out to the reefs. It’s diverse fishing that you will like, whether you’re more experienced or just starting out as an angler. Best of all, these fisheries are productive year-round, and you will have an experienced captain to show you around.

Captain Alex Rifice will be your host and guide on this fast, safe and stable 2009 Pathfinder 2200 Tournament Edition center console bay boat with a custom tower. The boat is powered by a 225 HP Yamaha engine. She features GPS and a fishfinder, as well as an ice box, a live bait well, has a trolling motor, and carries the required safety gear. You will also find all the fishing equipment you may need. The boat can take up to four people.

Alex, though only 22, received his JR. Captain’s license at 13 and his USGC 6 pack charter captain’s license at 18. He’s been living his passion by fishing and learning these waters since the age of eight!

Not only will you have an excellent chance of catching a trophy or bringing home dinner,  you will also return to the dock with stories to tell and a much deeper appreciation and knowledge of the beautiful Florida Keys and Everglades National Park ecosystem.

Some of the species you can get include Bonefish, Tarpon, Blacktip Sharks, Snook, Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Groupers, and Mackerel. The captain will take you where you want to go and will advise you on what’s biting at the moment. Go around backcountry waters, or reefs, it’s your call.

You can either keep the fish or release it if you like. Just remember that all Tarpon must be released. You should bring food and beverage of choice, as well as a cap, sunglasses, sunscreen, and comfortable clothes. And of course, no bananas!

Watch out, Alex’s passion is contagious. It won’t be the last trip or memory you share with Captain Alex Rifice!

I have been fishing for 50 years since the age of six. I clearly remember that first Bluegill I pulled from Hinkley Lake in Ohio with a redworm on my grandfather's fiberglass, state of the art, using a fly rod. My love for the water came from my dad who bought his first boat at 14. Since then I have done my time chasing anything that swims recreationally and in tournaments. My first trip to the Keys from Ohio tied a bind that has only gotten tighter over the past 35 years. I have owned many boats including six in the Keys. The Pathfinder 2200TE is a fish stalking and catching machine. She is my latest baby and will be operated on a day to day basis by Captain Alex Rafice. He is an extremely talented fisherman with a great desire to learn every day. His strong and honest work ethic, along with his desire to share his knowledge and appreciation for the pristine waters and beauty of the Keys, will make your day on the water the trip of a lifetime.

It was our first time ,we didn’t catch as many fish as we expected but it wasn’t the best day.The captain did his best ,he was very nice even though he couldn’t understand most of the things we said (bad English) but my son enjoyed it and that’s all that matters.

Alex was an awesome captain, he worked super hard to get us on fish after a slow start. You could hear others on the radio getting nothing and Alex got us the fish after trying several spots we got on the fish.
