Member since August 2016
Capt. Jennifer is originally from Burleson, Tx and moved to Rockport when she was 13. At age 16 she started working for one of south Texas' largest known female fishing guides - Capt. Sally Black - at her fly fishing/ kayak shop. Jennifer started doing kayak tours of light house lakes and immediately fell in love with the local fisheries and habitat. In her time on the water she has become very knowledgeable with the bay system and whereabouts of fish. She can manage large corporate groups down to 1 on 1 trips ( KIDS ARE ALWAYS WELCOMED) - expert to beginner.

My husband & I have booked several trips with both Capt. Jen & Capt. Anthony & we highly recommend them. They are both excellent fishing guides. They are both passionate & skilled, they know where the fish run & put you right on them plus they love what they do and it shows! We look forward to many more years of memory making moments on the waters of Rockport, TX. with Capt. Jen & Capt. Anthony - Tightlines Guide Service & Jen’s Coastal Guide Service.

First of all we caught 7 fish, so it was a success.  However, I paid for 3 people (myself and my two sons).  When we were around the school of Black Drum, she would only put 2 ines in the water.  I said, “Let’s throw another line in so we can all fish.”  She said, “That would be pretty hectic if we had three on the line at a time.”  Other boats around us had 4-5 lines in the water, and I saw one boat with three fish on the line at once.  On the second school of black drum, I insisted we put three lines in the water.

Second, she didn’t maneuver her boat aggressively to put us in position on the school of black drum.  Especially on the first school, it was like she was too low on the pecking order of captains.  She was hanging back while the other boats were landing fish after fish.  She would position us too far to the outside, leaving a gap, and another boat would move into the gap she left.

I don’t want to make this sound too harsh, because we had success, and my boys and I enjoyed the day.

I am sorry you felt that way . I run my business by being respectful to other fisherman and guides . As i would not like for them to to cut me off and run over the school of drum . And as for only 2 lines in the water we rotated so everyone would have a chance to catch fish and as you said you had your to 12yr sons on the boat and the drum i had been on where big drum and they couldn’t have reeled them in by them selfs and it would take you 10min to get one in the boat and i was the only one assisting your boys on bringing in the fish .  Yes other boats had more lines out because they had 3to5 adults on the boat ... but it was a pleasure having your boys on the boat and enjoyed the day with them .
