Island Fishing Charters are based out of Port Villa. They provide a variety of fishing packages to suit more experienced and new anglers alike. When you come fishing with them, they will welcome you aboard the 26’ Sea Fox walkaround. Named ‘Little Weapon’, this boat is fit to fish for big names. She is powered by two 150 HP Mercury fourstroke engines, has a toilet, and is rigged with Simrad GPS, fishfinder, and outriggers. She can accommodate up to four people. You will also find an ice box an a live bait well onboard.
Your host for the day will be local skipper Kendrick “Kenny” George. With over 15 years of experience fishing local waters, Kenny knows how the fish move and where to take you. Whether it’s about reef species or game fish, Kenny and his deckhand will work to make your trip enjoyable and memorable.
These waters lie above some impressive drop offs that surround the volcanic island of Vanuatu. There are many fish attracting devices where fish flock, so you shouldn’t be having hard time finding them. Still, you will need local knowledge to actually get the fish to the boat.
Once you hop onboard, you will get the rods, reel, and tackle, as well as lures. The crew will provide snacks, drinks and lunch, but you can also pack your own sandwiches. You should bring sunblock, a cap, sunglasses, and light clothes. Make your clothing comfortable so that you can move around easily. And, you will definitely want to pack a camera.
