Tropical Sun Sportfishing operates out of the prestigious sportfishing town of Kona, offering one of the best ranges of trips you will find anywhere on the island. Spend anything from four hours to two days aboard, targeting monster pelagics like Ono (Wahoo), Ahi (Yellowfin Tuna), Mahi Mahi, Shortbilled Spearfish, and Blue and White Marlin.
The vessel you will be spending your trip aboard is a 45’ Bertram sportfishing boat, powered by twin Detroit Diesel engines with a combined output of over 1,000HP. The vessel has plenty of room aboard for six guests to fish and relax in style and features enough equipment and luxuries to keep even the pickiest sportfishers happy.
The boat has GPS and fishfinder to put you on the best spots, outriggers to help target fast-moving fish, and a livewell and tuna tubes to make sure nothing can resist your hook. She also has a fighting chair to help you hold your own against grander Marlin offshore.
Step below deck and you will find a spacious salon, a galley, full head, and comfortable cabins to rest in on longer offshore adventures. The boat is meticulously maintained, from the top of her tower to the tip of her keel, and all her equipment is kept in pristine order to ensure the best fishing experience.
And there is lots of equipment to choose from! All trips come with a choice of light, heavy, and fly tackle and the option to pop, spin, jig, troll, and even spearfish your day away. You will be presented with a range of realistic lures made specifically for the different target species, as well as plenty of fresh live bait if that is more your style.
