Phantom Fishing Cabo - Phantom
Join Phantom Sport Fishing aboard their flagship boat the ‘Phantom’ for an unforgettable day Sportfishing in Cabo San Lucas. Known as the ‘Marlin Capital of the World’, this is one of the best places you could go sportfishing anywhere, and it is hard to imagine a more rewarding base for your fishing trip than aboard this fine vessel.
The Phantom is a 33 ft Topas that is powered by twin 370 HP Cummins engines for a speedy ride to the fishing grounds. Accommodating groups of up to eight people, this is the boat of choice for larger groups, who will appreciate the space available all around the boat. The air conditioned interior will provide a refreshing place to cool down, which you can do with a soundtrack thanks to the boat’s stereo.
You will be fishing with top of the range gear that is regularly checked to ensure it is in the best condition. This will put you in the best position to fish for any of the area’s many fish species, such as Blue, Black, and Striped Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Roosterfish, and Snappers, to name but a few. The local waters have something for everyone, so let Phantom Sportfishing help you achieve your catch of a lifetime.
Each fishing package can come as a ‘basic’ or an ‘all-inclusive’ option. The highly recommended all-inclusive trips include meals, beers, soft drinks, water, fishing licenses, bait, and fish cleaning and packaging. If you decide not to go for this package, make sure to purchase a valid fishing license before your trip.

Everything was good for the most part for the full day trip. My Main (and only) complaint would be that my request was to fish for something I could take home and eat, but what we end up doing was fishing for 8 hours for marlin. It seemed that was all the capitan and crew wanted.
In the end, we caught nothing.
The boat was great, the crew was nice and seemed like they knew what they were doing. Not targeting what I wanted was my main issue. Could have made it a 5 star trip otherwise.

What a day! An early start collected by the “Boss” Luis Galvan - boat loaded, bait, ice and licenses collected and then out into the magnificent Pacific. Angel got all the rods outriggers etc. set up and then it was a case of waiting for that audible scream from a reel! A gorgeous Striped Marlin took a bait and “MAN"did that reel sing! A great fight and the fish was brought into the boat for a quick photo and returned unhurt to the ocean where it will hopefully have a long life! The fish measured 8ft 1inch and was guesstimated at between 150 - 180lbs. Soon after the reel was singing again - this time a gorgeous Dorado which will be cooked by the talented chefs at the Marquis Hotel for dinner this evening - can’t wait! The rest of the trip was filled with encounters of whales, seals welcoming us back to Port sitting on the bathing platform awaiting the leftover bait. The Pelican (Harbourmaster) was awaiting us at the berth in case there were a couple of scraps that the seals did not get! An extremely memorable and enjoyable trip made all the better by the extremely competent Skipper and First Mate! - Highly recommended.
