Blue Beard Makaira Adventure is dedicated to Bill fishing in the São Tomé and Príncipe area, known as one of the most Billfish populated areas in the world. The islands are located some 150 miles from the African mainland, near the equator, and are part of a volcanic chain that includes fascinating rock and coral formations, beaches and rainforests. The geographic position of the islands means they are rich in tropical species and its fishermen are doing all they can to promote ethical fishing of Marlins and Sailfish so they are only caught and released, and not consumed in order to preserve their populace.

Blue Beard is a 31 foot classic Bertram offshore sport fishing boat, which was originally built in 1966 and restored in 2015. It is powered by two 210 HP Cummins engines with a maximum cruising speed of 28 knots.This boat was built for deep sea fishing and includes a GPS, a fishfinder, all the safety equipment including a life raft, a CPR trained crew and flares. The boat also has a toilet, daybeds, a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, as well as a flybridge, snorkeling, spearfishing and fly fishing equipment. It has outriggers and an icebox to keep your catch fresh until you return to the shore.

Blue Beard Makaira Adventure will take you fishing in the dazzling Afrikan waters for Blue Marlins and Sailfish, Barracudas, Tunas, Wahoo, Red Snapper, Amberjack and Mahi Mahi. The crew are ready to provide assistance, and you will be using customs rods and Shimano reels, a Pompano fighting chair, live and artificial bait, have a first mate on hand and even have cleaning and filleting service available. You will enjoy complimentary drinks, snacks and lunch, and you won’t have to worry about obtaining a fishing licence as this will be done by the Captain and crew prior to you trip.
