Why Knot Charters

4139 Highway 17 Business
Murrells Inlet SC, United States

Why knot fish with Captain James Quesinberry on some of the best inshore and near shore waters in and around Murrells Inlet? Captain James is a kind and professional fisherman who is thoroughly acquainted with all the most effective methods for hooking fish in the local waters.

Come aboard and fish on a spacious 27 ft center console boat that gives a very comfortable ride to four anglers plus the captain. The boat’s high sides and shady T-Top make it a very desirable fishing charter vessel, especially for families with children, and it is fully equipped with electronics for navigation and safety. Powered by twin Mercury engines, the boat can get you to your desired fishing spot very quickly, so you can maximise your time on the water.

When fishing with Why Knot Charters, you can enjoy targeting species such as Redfish, Flounder, Trout and Black Drum, or you can venture offshore into deeper waters in search for King Mackerel, Amberjack, Sea Bass, Snapper, Spadefish and more. The choice is yours, and Captain James will always make sure to put you in the best place for the bite, given the time of year and conditions.

All fishing rods, tackle and bait are included in each charter trip, and Why Knot Charters will also take care of cleaning all keeper fish.

Captain James has been fishing his whole life. Born and raised in Maryland, he grew up fishing the Chesapeake Bay, and off shore waters of Ocean City Md. He spent most of ten years working as a first mate on a private sport fishing boat, fishing for White and Blue marlin ,and tuna. Since moving to SC. he has been fishing in Murrells Inlet and operating charters vessel fishing the inshore back creek waters and offshore water's . I have found great pleasure in helping Other's and family's have a great fishing experience.

This was only my 2nd adventure out in the Atlantic Ocean, as we left Murrell;s Inlet, Capt James began explaining everything that was taking place, pointing out buoy markers and what they meant, identifying crab pots, showing me the route on the Lowrance GPS. When we started fishing, he pointed out the fish we were fishing for and that’s exactly what we caught, actually around 30-35, but only 2 were keepers. this was great trip and I highly recommend Captain James, will be contacting him my next trip to South Carolina for sure.

Capt James was awesome. We had a wonderful time. He put us on the fish very quickly. I was very happy with the way he took such good care of us and showed us several different ways to catch fish. My daughter caught her first Black Drum.
