My brother and I both got a chance to meet up after getting time off work and from the Army. We booked this trip with hopes of catching a shark for a good fight and then maybe switching over to catching a Mack or Bass for some take home food. Needless to say, this trip was a big disappointment. The only fish caught was 3-inch Lizard fish that my brother reeled by mistake as we were heading back to the dock after 4-hours on the ocean. Glenn assured us that catching a shark would not be an issue; however, the biggest challenge was his gear not being properly inspected before departure. For example, Glenn put together a rig and after dropping it in the water, the line snapped. The only bite we had (likely a Blue fish on his smaller bait casting rod) was lost after picking up the rod and going to set the hook…(SNAP) the line broke again near the reel. I thought, well maybe the fish just aren’t biting today…however, upon arriving at the dock, we pulled up to another Charter Boat who had a fabulous day on the water. I counted 30+ fish laid out on the dock and the customers were nothing but smiles and high-fives. My brother and I paid ~$480 for this trip and left with nothing but a mild sunburn and 5-hours of our day wasted.

When I arrived at the boat, I was told by the Captain it was not a fishing trip, but a sight seeing tour. When I read to him that the contract said fishing, rods and bait to be provided, he said they advertise that for all of the trips. He then relented and set up a couple of rods. He then proceeded to troll fish. No live bait was provided, rather lures were used, and he mainly operate the rods. I said I thought we would drop anchor and fish from the side. He said you should go on the Miss Hatteras for that. You should refund my money on my card as you advertised a fishing trip, but that was not what your captain was told according to him. I would not pay that money for a boat ride. I gave him a nice tip because he spent 2 hours with us and was cordial to my family members. However, you should refund my money for false advertising.

Wow! The description said a two hour sunset cruise, the fishing trips are advertised as fishing trips. You have the option when I told you was on sunset cruise to not go forward with it and you chose to go ahead and go.Eric Fine does not recommend Battle Wagon Sportfishing
