Amazon Adventure Fishing offers you the chance to take a true trip of a lifetime in the Amazon. They currently have three trips available, all of which clients can enjoy by fly fishing, lure fishing, or fishing with conventional tackle and bait.
- Pirarucu Explorer camps
The primary target on this trip is wild Arapaima Giga, a huge fish that is well worth the trip to the Amazon. Amazon Adventure Fishing has sole access to some lakes and a river area where this fish’s population is extremely healthy, giving you a very high chance of a hook up. With a total of 18 lakes and lagoons in the area in which the company fishes for this species, the local populaion of gentle giants is not stressed by fishing pressure. These trips will not only give you the chance of catching Arapima; you can also catch Redtail catfish, Payara, Peacock Bass, Pacu, Arowana, Suribrim, and Leopard Catfish.
- Jaguar Mobile Explorer camps
This is Amazon Adventure Fishing’s giants trip, where you can target Massive Piraiba in excess of 300lbs, Redtail, Jau, Payara up to 38lbs, Wolf fish, Peacock Bass and, depending on the location we have our camp, Arapaima.
- Wolf Fish / Wai Wai Indian trip.
This is Amazon Adventure Fishing’s newest trip, and it takes place in one of the most remote areas in South America. The land is owned by the native Wai Wai tribe, and during your stay at the camp you will work and live among the indigenous people in this absolutely unique trip in Guyana. Amazon Adventure Fishing are the only people leading fishing trips here, with target fish being record sized Wolf fish. Our trip I just came back from we had over 300 wolfs between us none less than 20lbs. 6 of the fish was over the World record with the biggest beating the record by 20lbs. 3 was in the 50lb range and 3 in the deep 40’s. Other species here is Peacock bass up to 22lbs, Barbado Cats up to 35-40 lbs and big Suribrim. There is no Arapaima, Jau, Redtail or Piraiba in this area.
